Power still out...using generator and burning $$$ for gas....

told the power will not be back on til Saturday - that was the latest update. Sherry went out to get us coffee this morning and said a whole convoy of power trucks came in town...she said it was like a parade - she wanted to scream, wave and shout in joy they were here. A friend of ours within about 5 miles of us got her power back on earlier today. Oh well. Filled the generator again (3rd time now at $15 for 5 gallons of gas giving us about 8-10 hours of power for each tank full).

We did get the summer screens removed, cleaned windows and installed the storms. Rerouted extension cords so there is less to no air gaps for cold air to come out of and heat to escape from - got a lot done....a lot I should not be doing after this surgery and I was feeling a lot today. I need time to stop and heal. Casey has been all but useless...even when Sherry said that God gave us a lot of hours use out of the last tank full of gas she said we should be thankful. Casey's reply was 'knock on wood' at which the generator ceased running. I does not pay to mock God. Casey and Leelan are (supposedly) at her Dad's house but with all the lying she does she could be any where with anyone.

I hope the rest of this night is quiet and uneventful - Sherry and I need the rest.

Our internet service is down too so we are sharing an Alltel Wireless stick we got a long time ago...its slow and not cheap but it has been a life saver for the pest control job when we lost all internet before. Unfortunately it only works with Windows and I hate Windows. Wish I could get it to work with Ubuntu,

I feel for you . During the ice storm a few years ago we lost power for 15 days. Praying you get your power on soon.

Yes, Praise God for your generator and for the ability to use the power stick and get your messages to us! I pray that your Electric will be back on really soon and God will not be mocked....knocking on wood does nothing to help anyone...just an old expression and most people use their heads to knock on when they do, for it is a wooden block when not believing in Jesus as their own personal Savior! I pray also Leelan is better but dragging him around like she does, especially with the weather getting cooler and soon will be cold is not good for him, but prayers for God's protection will help keep him safer and less ill we hope and pray! Amen! Ma Betty

He slept well after the prayers. His Mom of course needs a good swift kick in her spiritual pants to get her mind where it belongs.

The generator was indeed from God. After my Dad passed away he had a little insurance money for his funeral. Out of what was left I got the Minelab, the generator and a few other small things. I knew the generator was a need and God provided for that need.

The medical problems Leelan has to not seem important to his Mom and the incompetent doctors up here don't provide the care they should for him - they are more wrong in their diagnosis of his condition than they are right. Heck, the doctors can't even agree with each other as to whether he does or doesn't still have the tubes in his ears.
