Power Supply for Accucel Charger

I am considering purchasing the accucel charger. I don't really want to build a power supply for it. I have an old laptop AC adapter. Would anybody be able to tell me if the amperage on this is too great for the accucel, or will it suffice? Thanks. I have attached a picture of the adapter below

Thanks,

What is the max amperage one may use with the accucel without damaging it?

The accucel is 11-18 v input that laptop adapter puts out 20v and is too much, amps doesn't matter as long as its over the minnimum, the charger will draw what it needs, i run mine on a 350w pc power supply that has 30amp max output. On the same site as the accucel they have a suitable one for something like $9 if you don't want to convert a PC power supply

Yea, a load (like this charger) will only draw what it wants in amps so if say it wanted to draw 10 amps the power supply could be 100 amps. Wouldn't matter, it's still only going to draw 10 amps. The two things to watch for our that the power supply can meet the amp draw. I think this charger draws 5 or 6 amps so the power supply needs to be 5 or 6 amps or higher. The voltage also must be within what the charger wants.

If you look on Hobby City's website where the charger is you'll find several cheap 12V power supplies.
