Praise God for what He did for me last night........I was....

Ma Betty in MO

New member
doing some grocery shopping, after seeing my dr and going to the bank, I was feeling more poorly than usual and with the weather my Arthritis is more painful than ever....sooo before I was finiahed shopping I had gotten so tired and sicker that I thought in my mind will I just leave this cart of food here and go on home, as I just didn't have any more energy left, well right then two women came by talking and the one a manager in the store, I guess, asked me if I was okay and if I needed help, as I was really struggling to push my cart and I said not now but when I checked out I would need help.....she knew differently and asked me what I needed and I said macaroni...Kraft's was on sale for $1.00 a box (cheaper than usual) and I said two of them please, I then said I was through although I really wasn't by needing a few more items...so she took me to a checkout line and unloaded my cart and told the girl bagging to put the frozen items together and all the cold items together in different paper bags...she then, after checking out, pushed my cart to the door where this young lady took over and went to the car with me putting all bags in the trunk! I was absolutely happy beyond belief, for I could not have finished on my own and still was labor for me to get the bags out of the trunk, into the house and all the frozen and cold foods put away.....I had not been that tired to not be able to do it myself, but God answered my desires before I even asked and I give Him praise and thank Him for such nice, helpful people at Dierberg's! I also get confused easily when too tired and achy from hurting too much!

Still need some meds, but did get two boxes of my breathing med free which cost me $42.00 each through the pharmacies after ins and a free spray for my poor sore and bleeding sinuses and nose! I slept a lot last night and today and do feel better with a little more energy but won't be doing the Swing or Polka any time soon! God is good to me, because the way I was feeling and couldn't keep going...He stepped in and right on time with those He knew would help me! No way did I want to leave my cart, as I needed the items and would have had to do my shopping all over again at some other time! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!!!!! Amen & Amen! Ma Betty

There's always angels around when we need them! Praying for ya Ma!

Hi Ma,
Glad to hear you made it home okay. Gosh ... I wish I didn't live so far away, as I'd be delighted to drive you around for the things you need yet. Living in a different state, I may as well be on the Moon, as far as helping you is concerned. Have a great week, Ma, and God bless.

What we need to do is look past these folks, after thankin them obviously, and look directly to our Lord.
He is ALLWAYS willing to help us in ALL our needs and many of these needs need to come from Him thru other people but sadly far far too many people
will ignore him when He reaches out to help us thur them.
Thank God these two ladies opened thier hearts, let HIm in and allowed HIm to help you thru them.
Praise God and thank You Jesus for the tender mercies you afford us each and every day thru our brothers and sisters in You when they focus on You, recognize You and alow You to work thru them for Your glory.

"Your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him" was proven once again by your story Betty.

I am praying for you too and thank you for your faithful comments on these pages.

Fri night I just couldn't go any farther....I tend to overdo too many times and that is why I stopped MD'ing, for if I fell or was unable to get back to my car, I would be in an awful shape! The lady who really helped me knew what trouble I was in when she looked into my face and eyes and Thank God, she unpacked my cart and another helped me to get the foods in my car.....I was so close to leaving my cart and going home but did not want to, as I would need to go through the same thing by shopping, again, later....I just am depleted of energy too quickly because of my COPD and Osteoarthritis! But we older folks, especially me, tend to overdo and keep on going but our batteries run down and can't keep going like the Energizer Bunny!   Ma Betty

Thanks Jim and, yes, we need to lean on and trust in Jesus more than mere mankind, but He does use them (just like He uses us) to help and encourage others, especially we, who are His Children! I would not have been able to finish up and get my food home without the help of these kind people! I need lots of rest, so I do sleep a lot and have a difficult time getting any house work or anything else done....but I know God is with me and works all things out for me becaused He knows how much I love and worship Him through the name of HIs beloved Son, Jesus! It is almost Valentine's Day and my heart belongs to Him and eternally, I hope and pray! Amen! Ma Betty

will never move out of MO, to be closer to my kids, although they don't come and see me very often but close enough to do so if they ever really want to visit old Mom and Grandma! Too busy with their own lives, but they will grow older and someday they may need help and want to see their children and grandchildren! I pray they will draw near to God and then He will draw nearer to them for building their faith and helping them by using other Spirit-filled Christians! Amen! Ma Betty

I feel when we have done the best we can, God will intervene and assist us to completion. Glad your ok and finished your shopping. Take care of yourself Ma Betty and glad you are feeling better. - Jim
