I got these two emails from the mom of baby Jessica that we have been praying for over a year now.
Just wanted to let you know that Jessica is healing well from her surgery. And she really seems to be feeling better. She is sleeping again --thank God! The scars are not too big by her ears. There doesn't appear to be an infection in her ear any more. We can tell she is hearing a little better too. She has started to make sounds with tone changes. Next week, we take her in for another post-op check and some hearing testing. We know something will need to be done.
She had her helmet removed last week. And boy, does she look like a different child! Her hair is really beginning to grow. She is blond like Kelsey and Josh.
Finally, this Thursday she has to go in for an MRI on her spine. The doctor at the U of M hospital wants to make sure that there are no issues with the spinal cord. While Rod and I are confident that they will not find any problems, anesthesia is an issue. Since it took her nearly 18 hours to wake up after the surgery, we have concerns. If you have an opportunity to pray for her, we would appreciate it greatly.
As always, thanks for every prayer you've ever prayed for on her behalf.

And here is #2 request!.......
Dear family and friends,
This email is on behalf of a little boy by the name of Braeden Burgess. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma ( a rare form of cancer). It is in stage 3. He has a softball size tumor in he belly area. The doctors are starting "aggressive treatment." The good news is that it is not in his spine or his bone marrow. However he is still very sick and very uncomfortable. His Mom and Dad are Kevin and Dawn Burgess. He has been in the hospital for the past week. If you have time in your schedule, please pray for the family today. Thanks!
