This is the 2nd evening/night we had the power go out. Weird when lights are lit but they look like candles glowing instead of 60 watt light bulbs.
Power came back on around midnight...out for about 6 hours tonight. I have to thank God this is not winter but warm weather. I could use the generator to provide us with electricity but want to save it for real emergencies such as when it is 10 degrees out and we are shivering in the house from the cold.
We have another reason for thanking and giving praise to God. On the way home we smelled gas...automobile gas inside the van. It was very strong and very annoying. We got all the way home and got out of the van to see we left a trail behind the vehicle - apparently all the way from where we filled up. We probably lost a 1/3 of a tank of gas on the ground driving home.
In the driveway it was still leaking gas so had to park up hill to keep any more from coming out. We are thankful that the gas did not get close to the hot muffler that was only inches away. We also have to thank God for sending a neighbor to look at the problem...and he fixed it - for free. God takes care of His kids.
We thought we were going to stay home from church tomorrow...God worked it out so now we can make it after all.
Thank you Father, thank you Jesus and thank you God.
