A metal plate pessed dretly on where they entered the artery for the Cath. It is scary but easily done everyday. They can do "any" heart procedure on the spot once they ae in. I just pray your brother doesn't need the bypass. I willl pray for you guys. He"will" feel warm feeling duing the procedure. It is Normal ok. His leg wil be sore for about 2 days after that. It takes about 1 week to get rid of any effects. Remember It is only scarier than it really is ok. I say this info. to hopefully put your mind at ease ok. God Bless. PEACE:RONB

I had a cath - followed closely by a by pass - 6 years ago. I was always tired after detecting - sometimes for a couple days. Now I can detect 3 days in a row, 4-5 hrs per day, and always recover quickly.
I'll pray for a good outcome on the cath. But if he needs the by pass let him know how great I feel & I am 67 yrs old. Steve in so az
