Prayer needed for my son...

Pete in MI

New member
My son Tom, I just learned today, left the house yesterday and was hit by a car and suffered a broken leg. He has a wife and a small child and a baby at home. Will try to find out more but for now please pray for him and his family. (I don't know if I can get down to where he lives to see him.) Satan is making every effort to keep me too busy to do God's work.

Pray also for my Mother-in-law who is home from the hospital. A chemical imbalance in her system made her kinda nuts in the head...and she already has problems with Alzheimers so this didn't help. She is home but still not in full control of her faculties. Pray that she can know reality from lies...her neighbor has been feeding her lies and stealing money from her by using the Alzheimers against her...the forgetfulness. The neighbor has bilked her out of several thousands of dollars and left her with nothing in her own bank account.

Pray for Sherry too please as she has gone through yet another struggle with her innards...and has to deal with the situation with her Mom, the Mom's neighbor, courts and other things..including her daughter and business too.
(She doesn't know about my son breaking his leg yet either---see the devil has been busy keeping us from doing God's work).

Thanks everyone. Our prayers to those in need that God will meet their needs in ALL areas (physically, mentally and spiritually). In Jesus name. Amen.

He is home. He was on his way to a gas station to get a pop for his wife. A woman driving a car tried to avoid hitting another car and swerved to keep from hitting the other car. Instead of hitting the car she hit my son with the front of the car, he rolled onto the hood and hit his head on her windshield. He is luckily a big guy and his leg was broken just below the knee. He is in a metal splint. The woman from what Tom told me had no opportunity to drive away as 3 city police officers had her car surrounded in seconds.

My son is very very lucky (or should I say God sure watched out for him and he suffered just a broken leg). The trauma to the head probably didn't help. He jokingly said all I can do is lie on the couch and watch TV and he has satelite so plenty to watch just can't see what is on as he thinks his glasses got lost over at the accident and he has no way to go find them. Fact is he was told to go to his doctor on Monday...not sure how that can happen if he can't drive, ride a bus, afford a taxi, etc.

I am so glad he didn't suffer worse injuries. You know how we say 'family comes first' amazingly or maybe not so amazingly Satan says the same thing....we will attack the 'family' first and then people will be too busy to do God's work.

My first Q-Chord music I played and is always appropriate:

Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He has given
Jesus Christ, His Son

And now
Let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what
the Lord has done for us

Give thanks, Give thanks, Give thanks

Thanks you Father for watching over my son and his family. Thank you for all you have done for each and everyone of us. Most of all thank you Father for loving us so much that you gave your Son as a sacrifice for my sins, paying the price I should have paid. Thank you Father. Thank you Jesus. And thanks to to the Holy Spirit who is with us. In Jesus name. Amen.
