ANDY AND ANOTHER ROUSTABOUT WAS ON A WORK BOAT UNLOADING IT IN 2-3ft SEAS.(THAT'S CALM FOR THE GULF) IT'S STANDARD PROCEDURE FOR THE CRANE OPERATOR TO TAKE UP THE SLACK AS A WAVE PICKS UP THE WORK BOAT AND AT THE TOP OF THE WAVE HE WILL REV UP THE ENGINE UP TO FULL THROTTLE AND CONTINUE PICKING UP THE LOAD..AS THE CRANE OPERATOR CLEARS THE DECK HE WILL SWING THE LOAD OVER THE SIDE OF THE BOAT TO THE OPEN SEA.. THIS WAY IF SOMETHING FALLS OFF THE LOAD OR A SLING BREAKS NO ONE IS HURT..THIS TIME ONE SIDE OF THE SLING PARTED AND CUT ANDY'S PARTNER'S HEAD OFF.. ANDY WAS STANDING ABOUT 6ft FROM THE GUY..HE SAW THE YOUNG MAN DIE AND HIS HEAD ROLL AROUND ON THE DECK..ANDY DIDN'T SLEEP LAST NIGHT AND CRIES WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT ANYTHING..THE COMPANY IS SENDING HIM TO SHORE AND WILL GET HIM SOME HELP..THANKS AHEAD OF TIME FOR YOUR PRAYERS I HAVE WORKED ALL OVER THE WORLD ON OIL RIGS AND I KNOW IT IS A HARD SAYING WE HAD BUT IT IS TRUE "" SOME LEARNS AND SOME DIES """ GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU...
