I wanted to ask all of you to be in prayer about the weather here. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are a VERY COMMON event here in Alabama. Something we are pretty much used to. I've never been afraid of the weather and will even go outside to watch it! For some reason, I am really concerned about the upcoming weather event due to pass through here over night tonight and into the early morning hours tomorrow. The time frame they are giving right now is between 2am - 9am. There has been only one other time I was exceptionally uneasy about the weather and that was the time that my little community was hit and torn up pretty bad about twelve years ago. I had felt uneasy that night and the Lord spoke to me to pray, and pray hard, for the weather, our safety, and the safety of our home. He hasn't spoke to me about this event but I, of course, will be praying about it! The meteorologist on one of our local TV stations said that this has the potential to be the worst weather we've had here in over two years... and we've had some doozies!!! I know the weather forecast changes about every time you hear it, and it's quite possible that it could change, but for now, I ask you all to pray for us, our homes, and families. I'm sure it could just be the devil trying to mess with me to steal my peace over this, but like I said, I'm not easily shaken when it comes to the weather. I would prefer that to be the case instead of feeling uneasy for a good reason! Another reason I might be feeling uneasy is because I have to work 11-7/3rd shift at the hotel tonight which means I'll be away from home and family during the frame of time they have given us for the severe weather. Of course this means I'll be working the hotel all alone and would be responsible for the hotel and getting the guests to safety... and the guests DO NOT like to be called and wrangled in the middle of the night due to weather or any other reason! I've had to do it before, and it ain't fun.
Anyway, I would appreciate any and all prayers! Thanks!
