Just seen this on another forum................


Evening fellow dirt diggers,

I just want to let you all know this will probably be my last GNRS in Jan. I did my first last year and even though I didn't find anything which could be counted I had a great time with all who participated.

I was diagnoised with terminal liver cancer this past August. What a bummer. I have had to retire from work. The treatment is supposed to give me some extra time, but it drains my energy really bad. As long as I can hold a detector and can dig and stand I will be there this year. I kinda look forward to hearing Jack Akins tell stories of the big cache from last year. I will keep Jack and Larry posted on my condition as we get nearer to the hunt date.

I am so glad I have a good relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ and a close family to get me through this. I do ask that each of you remember me in your prayers and thoughts.
