The metal detecting world lost a true icon yesterday June 4 around 4:00 AM.
Ray was a co-founder of the Central Florida Metal Detecting Club back in 1972. He was also a long time president of the club, as well as a previously active member of the FMDAC.
Ray was probably best known to some of you as Huntmaster along with Deyton Peyton for the Great Southern Beach Shootout in Daytona Beach. He was a wealth of knowlege and a master behind a metal detector. He was a very outspoken proponent for metal detecting and fought when our rights were threatened. He was a very generous person and really enjoyed putting a smile on peoples faces.
He will be greatly missed. Please pray for his wife Lonna and her family and freinds.
