Prayer request....

tonight I have an interview at our church for a custodian position. Please pray for GOD's will and that he will help calm my nerves. Y'all know I've been looking for something better for our family for quite a while now and this would be wonderful. I would be able to set my own schedule and keep Loren at home with me instead of sending her to daycare. Travis and I would actually have time for each other and the church is less than a mile from our home. No commute time or gas expense. I have interviewed for some great jobs, but this would be awesome. Would take a huge paycut, but considering the areas I would save money (gas, childcare), we would actually be much better off.

Praying, Liz, for Jesus' love and peace to calm your nerves and for God's favor in your getting the custodian job, as it really sounds good for you and your family! God is good so keep the faith that He is with you in this and will be there for you in all things and what He has planned for you and your family in giving Jesus the glory and the praise! Amen! Ma Betty

Sure will - there's lots of things to consider in a job like you have stated. The Lord listens to us all, Steve in so az

Thank you all---each and every one! I think the interview went well. we'll see. Eight people interviewed and all are members of our church. My prayer is that no one will allow their feelings to be hurt and that we all seek GOD's will in the situation. As I read back over my first post, it sounds like I am just concerned with money and how we could all benefit. I think I worded the post badly....thank goodness GOD knows our hearts better than we do sometimes. Should be notified one way or the other by Sunday. I'm sure all the candidates would do a fine job, we'll just have to see what GOD thinks!

Keep that positive attitude.

I wasn't chosen and I was bummed. Thought it would really be the answer to many prayers. I don't know what GOD has in store and I can't say that I'm not still bummed about it, but I do have other opportunites. I was offered a promotion and huge raise at my current job. Even though I wasn't thrilled, I accepted the position. It will do until I find something better----if God sees fit. I'd been waiting to register Loren for school until I heard something about the job. We really wanted to put her in a private school, but that just won't be possible with both our work schedules. So, Friday I registered her in the local school system. I am very apprehensive, but it just has to work out. To be honest, I am tired of overanalyzing every aspect of our lives. It becomes a sickness. Please pray for me as I move into the management team. Never pictured myself in management, but I am the most qualified for the position and know it well. Thank you all for the prayers.

Sorry, Liz, that you didn't get the job...but as many have said before, Father knows best and God does! Praise Jesus for your promotion with more money and that is a blessing in itself! Why God hasn't moved the way you want is a mystery but He wants you where you are and maybe that is to be a shining light in the darkness there and in the public school! He also may be preparing you in the managing portion to help you get a far better job later in a far better working environment! As far as Loren, be sure to keep watch over her and pray for God's guidance and protection for her and keep listening and learning what is going on in the school and in her classroom for her! God will watch over her, or He would have made different plans for ya all! Serving Him faithfully in everything you do and in what comes about for your family is a learning process towards what He has in the future for each of you! My prayer is: Dear God, Please watch over Liz, Travis and Loren for keeping them safe and meeting their needs and help them to grow in faith more and more so they will be able to handle whatever You put in front of them for their good and for Your purpose to glorify and praise You in all things! We thank You, Lord, for Your hearing and answering our prayers even when it is not what we expect and want You to do! Amen! Ma Betty
