My adopted daughter got a call this morning from her friend Ashley. Ashley's parents had been in a car accident and she needed a ride home to go see them. They found out a couple hours later that her dad was killed and her mom is in the hospital having surgery on her arm. They had stopped to help some people who ran off the road. A semi went out of control and hit their car, killing the dad on impact. Please pray for Ashley, her mom, and the rest of the family.

How sad! Good friends of ours had a similar issue last night. They had pulled in behind their daughter who had pulled off in the emergency lane due to car touble. They were along side the road when they noticed a speeding motorist was heading towards them. The driver had fallen asleep and just before reaching the family, he veered off to the right and went down an embankment. Our friends were unharmed, but the other motorist is critical. We never know when our time on earth will end. We must be ready! Praying for your prayer request, Mike!
