PRAYER REQUEST.....................................

I injured my back and hip, so I've been home instead of work for the last week! Been to the Dr. twice but he is wanting me to be patience and let all the medicine do their healing! It has been over a week now and the pain is just a little bit better! Not sure when I will be releashed to go back to work! Just don't want to re-injure my back! Going to see the Acupuncturist today and maybe get massage therapy! Will also see my Dr. again to talk about my other options! Work is giving me a lot of 3rd degree about this and I do not want to lose my job over this! But my job requires a lot of physical lifting and I'm afraid that if I go back too early that my back and hip will just get re-injured! Also a note for light duty will do no good as they require a full=-duty release for me to go back to work!...............So today is a busy day for me ..........................and I just need God's insight to know that I'm making the right decisions! ..........Also it is hard for me to just let God have totall control and to let Him handle this situation............................................I need to just let go and let Him handle it......................................GOD BLESS.................Joe

Joe, I think the massage therary is a great idea; also have you tried using a back brace ?

I will certainly pray that your back and hip problem will get better.....

Back problems take time to heal because the muscle tissue is deep ...just be sure not to aggravate the back and hip by unnecessary strenuous movement

Also I highly recommend moist heat.. to the affected area,.

As a Registered Nurse, I worked in the Medical Dept . of a factory some years ago..and so many times the workers came to the clinic for hot, moist heat therapy for their back problems

You can purchase a "Hydroculator" at a pharmacy( they would have to order it) , but it is worth it.
The hydroculators come in various sizes: for neck area, arm area. and Large ( for back area) ...you have to put this item in a large pot of water, bring the water to a boil, and heat the item right through; then with tongs, remove the item , wrap it in several towels and apply to back and hip area. for approximately 20 minutes The moist heat penetrates the area and , if this procedure is done 2 -3 times a day, the muscles will relax, and you will heal much quicker.

You are right...we have to let go so God can do things. He is better at doing for us than we can for ourselves. We might know what we need and want it now but God knows what is really needed beyond what we can see and His watch works better than ours.....after all have you ever seen 2 people have the same time on their watches at the same time? But God's time is always ON TIME.

Will pray that (1) God meets your needs - all of them (physical, spiritual and other), (2) that He works with the doctor(s) to get you the medical treatment you need - guiding their hands and minds, (3) to work on the hearts and minds of those at where you work so that they will be more understanding and have more patience and (4) you are able to let God have the reigns of command so He can accomplish the works He has started in you.

God bless you and yours Joe

Back problems can be a long time healing. The Lord will lead you in the way He wants you to go - just talk to him and follow, steve in so az

The prayers will help! You are the only one who knows your back and when you can do the work. Base your decision on that. God will do the rest!
Praying now!

...My biggest problem is arthritis in my hips and back...They got me on a job at work where I set up machines for job runs-Crawling in and out of them;I SURE CAN feel old Arthur in me.Naturally, the Dr. tells me there is nothing they can do about-they tell me to get exercise, and stay strong and flexible.TAKE IT FROM ME-You dont want to rush healing back or hip injury-it will take forever to get over....

we get down about injuries that take time to heal because they inconvenience us. When I broke my leg a couple of years ago, after much moaning and groaning, one night I came to the realization that my problem was just temporary. I just had to endure wearing a cast for 8 weeks... deal with a little pain (and itching :) ) but just 8 weeks. I thought about all the people in this world who would be happy to wait 8 weeks to walk normally or be healed. I think things like this are God's way of telling us to rest a bit and trust in Him.
