My father in law has been going to the Dr,not feeling well-They ran some tests;told him"GUESS WHAT??You have got 3 blocked arteries,we got to check it out"---NOW,the problem:his kidneys are not in the best of shape;and the procedure they are wanting to do consists of dye that is injected into the blood stream and shows up any blochages in the heart-THEREIN LIES THE PROBLEM....Dr.said there is a chance it will cause his already not up to snuff kidneys to :thumbdown:quit, and he will be on dialysis permanently. As a side note;they told him YEARS ago he will probably be on dialysis in the future...SO:After mulling it over;he called the Dr.and told them the equivalent of "DAMN THE TORPEDOES,AND FULL SPEED AHEAD!!"And;he is scheduled to go into the hospital the 30th of November;and have the dye procedure the next day,the 1st....He has one of the best Dr's around;they will monitor his kidneys closely in the whole month of December; they will know soon after Dec.1st what they have to do.

I will be praying for your F-I-L. I hope everything goes well for him and your family. I know how important kidneys are, and how it is to suffer with kidney problems. I lost my left kidney two years ago this upcoming December 22nd. That was one of the toughest times of my life (physically, anyway). Life is pretty much normal since then, but I have to be careful about taking different types of medicines, and I'm not able to take the ones I NEED the most. I was told to protect my right kidney from taking any hits and to guard it at all times. I sometimes think about the possibilities of what might happen if something goes wrong with the one I have, so I can sure understand your concerns!

Prayers for your father-in-law, Steve, and for all of you! May our Savior, Jesus, with His healing virtuous touch move upon his arteries and clear them of all blockage and perform healing on his kidneys to remain working like they are supposed to do! Amen! God Bless!
