Prayers for those on the streets

steve in so la

Well-known member
At the Gospel Rescue Mission where I work we sure do have a lot of guys on the street . I checked in almost 85 tonight - and we only had beds for 45 and that's on the chapel floor. We also have 55 guys who live in the house semi permanently while going through our programs.
Maybe keep them in your prayers , especially during the winter. We dont get nearly as cold as other places and I can only imagine what it's like living outside in much colder temps. steve in so az

Some will not make it in the weather we are having! :(

I did talk to a guy I work with and theres a place here in my town where it seems theres always a guy with a sign asking for food. The guy at work went by and the "homeless" guy was standing holding his sign asking for food and talking on his cell phone.
Interesting

Some of the guys at the shelter have cell phones - don't really know why. The truly down & out homeless dont have them usually. Don't think I would contribute to someone on a cell phone, steve

I will pray for all homeless people. Circumstances differ among them as to how they became homeless, but they, as we ,are always in need of prayers.
