Cliff and me, as he lost his best friend early morning besides Jesus that is! Tara passed away and my brother just loves animals so much and Tara has been with him several years....she gradually faded away from being ill and he got to pet her and pray for Jesus to take her before she died!

He said she was making a noise....which is unusal for her....(the quietest dog I ever saw or heard) she put her paws on his bed if she needed to go out and he would wake up....but she very seldom barked or made any noise, except snort once in awhile with her funny antics! Anyway she woke Cliff up and he checked on her! He talked to her and petted her and then he prayed for Jesus to take her, so she wouldn't have to suffer, as she hadn't been well at all! He went back to bed and a couple hours later he woke up by the sound of gravel hitting the outside of the house! He said it was like someone hit the wall with a shovel full of gravel and he knew she had passed on! He has a very tender heart and will miss her for a long time! But he is getting too sick to take care of her! He still has his cat, Princess, and she is getting really old...about 15 or 16 years...more or less!

Tara, a miniture Chihuahua, was a really sweet dog and I fell in love with her too! But like humans, animals get sick and old and pass away also!

I know the feeling so well of losing a loved pet...may sound strange but there are some pets I have grieved more for than people who passed on. Jesus is with you.
 
Thanks, everyone, for your prayers for comfort and peace! We are doing okay and he has accepted Tara's passing away, as he knows she is better off and though he will miss her, he knows we all get old and can't live forever in this world! I know how he feels, as I loved Tony, my cat, so much and cried deeply for a week over the loss of him! He was ill with bad kidneys and he is better off too! The new are born and the old pass on out of this earthly realm and we must accept this fact, as we can't do much about it!

I know what you mean, Pete, as Tony's death caused me great pain and I cried way down deep in my soul over the loss of him and more so than some people's deaths! They are so close to your heart that a person cannot help but grieve for their special pets! :cry:

Last August 24th;our beloved pet;ROCKY-a shih-tzu-had to be put to sleep...He was a little over 11;had nose problems all his life.He quit eating and drinking;and would just hang his head...IT IS HEARTBREAKING to lose a beloved member of the family-human or animal..even though we have BOOMER now-another shih-tzu, 4 months old,and the light of our lives-just yesterday,my wife was crying about the way Rocky got sick and had to be sent to the Rainbow Bridge...Here is one of the latest pics of BOOMER-At the vets Saturday;he got his vaccinations;weighed(He is 8 lbs.now-when we got him,he weighed1Lb;4 oz.) and pronounced fit as a fiddle-BUT;on July 19th;he goes in to get his "wings' clipped;if you know what I mean....
 
Thank you, dobbie & Warthog for your prayers! And sorry about Rocky but Boomer is a cutie and I'm sure he'lll bring you and your wife lots of joy as a new member of your family. I pray he lives a long time and never gets sick to shorten his life! Be happy and don't worry!

I am so sorry for Cliff and your loss.

I believe that Tara is now enjoying perfect health at the rainbow bridge with all her friends ( all animals of every species) . She sure is remembering you and Cliff as she plays happily with her new friends..

You and Cliff will see Tara and Tony again,,,just a Warthog will see Rocky, and all members of this forum who have suffered the loss of their pets will be united with them again...God wants us to be happy; He knows what is in our hearts. God will provide! Praise and honor forever to Jesus!
 
Thanks Doug and Lorraine for your prayers and we know she is better off in not having to be sick so much! We have the memories of Tara and I have the memory of Tony! They were sure unusual pets or I think so anyway! We've had pets before, but they were special and so close to our hearts! :)
