Went to church yesterday (half hour drive away) in another town and our van broke down. Won't start so we are thinking fuel filter or fuel pump. Its a tourist town (state park in the town). We don't know of any reputable repair places down there.
We are praying that we will find decent people - preferably Christians - who can do the repair work, not over charge us and that we can help keep a Christian business alive.
Past experience is that if you are from out of town people will rip ya off because they feel they can get away with it.
We were blessed that the church had a spare vehicle that it has loaned to us to use until we get the van repaired.
Asking for prayers that God will direct us to the right place to get the work done and at a reasonable price.
Funny part of this all is because FORD motor company is so much behind the gay rights movement Sherry says she will never be buying, driving or ever riding in a Ford product. The truck we got from the church to drive is a Ford. She just made that comment yesterday before we got to the church...I think God has a sense of humor. Or is it coincidence (nah).
The van is nearing 200,000 miles (about 700 more to go) and was running great up until yesterday. With no other vehicle of our own to drive (except the motorcycle that still is unsold and isn't running), it is truly a blessing God has a back up plan.
Thanks for the prayers.
