Praying

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
When I was a wee lad I was praying for a new bicycle. The preacher informed me that God did not work that way and not to pray THINGS that are not really needed.

So the next day I went out and stold a bike and then prayed for forgiveness?????

Well, I am sure God forgave you but would He have wanted you to get the bike by stealing it? He does answer little boy's prayers, too, and the preacher shouldn't have discouraged you in praying for the bike for God knew whether you needed it or not and not the preacher! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I think God is ok with us praying for things we want, especially as a child. At that age we think it is a need.

Joke or not the words were needed posted and said on this forum and I don't know why but God does.....so let us pray and not lie nor steal whether a child or adult! Amen! Ma Betty

I remember Praying for a bicycle that I could ride and a bb gun and I got them both I may have waited a little while.......I was maybe 5-7 years old best I remember........Praying is always good when we feel the need for Gods Love and Blessing to be showered on us.......He Loves His Children .......bro Dan

These days my priority is praying for my loved ones and those special to me and that includes each of you. My prayer, for us all, is that God will bless us with good health and prosperity; not so much we forget to thank Him but not so little that we complain. Jesus said, "...give us this day our daily bread..." and, with Jesus all things are possible. Amen.
