Today 5 of us met up at an old site to do some pre-forum hunt digging. Doug from TN and his brother Greg, Greg from MI, Jamie from MI and myself. We hunted about 3 1/2 hours and got a few keepers. Greg from TN is new to digging and hunted for a bit and got some clad and chased by a bee! 
Greg from Mi found a neat guitar pendant thingy and a wheat, Doug got a nice 26D merc, I am not sure what Jamie got as he showed up late and I didn't see him till we left. I was hunting a trashy area and sniffed a few keepers out from between nails etc... a 1928 wheat, a 1941 merc, and a 1910 barber dime.
Tomorrow we will be joined by the rest of the gang for the main forum hunt at a different location. (1851)

There was this big cluster of orange mushrooms growing where a big oak once stood. They kept calling to me to come take a pic. Well the camera was in the car so I decided to detect around them. look what I found there!

Not too far from there was the barber and the wheat was close by too.
