Printing Press Plates

I found these Printing Press Plates in the last couple weeks. They are before 1920 ads for Mobile Oil for cars and boats. The plates have a copper coating on the front and a lead cast on the back. The cars and trucks are model A fords and old service trucks. Looks like the new SEF coil is paying off already.

The first one I found I thought it was an plate off a tractor so I throw it and it hit the bumper of my truck, then the second one came out and I called a buddy of my over to see if he knew what is was. When we got the dirt off we could tell what it was. The last two I found on Thanksgiving morning. I thought they were neat to find, something from the past, which more than likely was washed there from the 1909 of 1919 hurricane which destroyed out most of this little town. Still keep looking for some of that old silver you good seasoned hunters keep posting. Have A Great Day
