Pro Coil and Dry Ground Conditions

Sorry if this has been asked, but is it me or does the Pro Coil when on the SE show totally different VDI numbers in dry soil conditions. Pennies aren't reading in the penny range. Sometimes they are coming in at 12-?? and other time 5-??
Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this for me. The tones are good, but the numbers are way off. In fact, I got a good Nickel tone and the numeric value was bouncing in the 12-?? 11-??
Thanks in advance.

It's probably that the cursor is bouncing around due to the slower processor speed on the Explorers - as others have said I hunt 80% by sound, 20% by screen and I never use digital. I too noticed that the Pro coils seems to read coins a little differently in location compared to my SlimLine coil. Hope that helps.

I didn't notice any change in the Silver readings, but it just confused me as to why the penny's and the nickels were so whacked on their numerical values. No matter, I dug and retrieved what I thought it was. Thanks for the reply.

I get it. A E:clapping Crack joke :clapping:

But why would you bother making a reply if you have nothing intelligent to add? :goodnight:
