Pro-Pointer trouble question?

My Pro-Pointer wants to keep buzzing for no reason and I have to turn it off for awhile so it will start working normally.
Can anyone help me with this or is this a Warranty problem. This pointer is just two months old.

:usaflag:If a new battery does'nt cure it, send it to Garrett. They will have a new one sent to you in less than two weeks.

I agree a new battery. Mine did the same changed the batery and no worries. Additionally, if used as a deep probe by placing metal to adjust depth does kill the battery quicker. There manual does have some comment about do that.

Note:
Do not affix metallic labels (or any material that
might cause the detector to alarm) to the detection
area of the PRO-POINTER. Doing so might cause an
imbalance within the detection field and thereby reduce
scanning effectiveness.

If the battery doesn't fix it turn it in for repair.

Mine did the same thing the other night installed new battery took care of it.

mine has done this a few times but just turning it off and back on seemed to fix it for now. i'm lucky that if it needs to go in i have an other one to use in the mean time. the newer one is a little differant from the older. they were bought new about three months apart. i'm a little leary about the newest cause the older one has yet to act up and has a stronger sound. darn good probe though. i won't go with out it.
