"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something
else is the greatest accomplishment."
Anyone else like this ? Steve

From the land of the Bluenose...recall two lines from a poem that I read in about grade 5
My face I don't mind it
Because I'm behind it.
Sure wish I could remember the rest but alas old age and without my mate (green one) me mind is a meandering!

for you would be to search the net with those words and see if you can find it. I'll bet there's a poem search or something. Steve

I think Steve if I could be able to resist temptations each and every time they came my way that would be the breatest goal for me. If, I could be like Jesus, when he was tempted of the devil, to not be moved by what the devil tries to pull on me - how great that would be. I think the Lord would be more pleased with me as well.

Remember: Seek ye first the kingdom of God (Mt. 6:33)

Yes, Steve, that's why I have to do what I need to do and not listen to what others say I should or need to do! I know my circumstances better than anyone else, except God. If we're saved in Christ, we must do all we can for Him, then stand firm on our faith! Therefore, He must be served first and foremost! I just cannot do everything and when I try I don't do anything right and get confused!
When I metal detect too often, I fall behind in everything else and then I suffer the consequences.
I used to be able to do more and keep going, but cannot any longer.
The Lord is good and His joy is our strength to do His will and not what I will, even when I would rather be out enjoying detecting and the outdoors!
I'm glad you are able to do both very well!
God Bless!
Betty

the older I get the less energy I have for detecting. In times past I would go anytime , day after day , if needs be. Now I have to plan a rest day before a hunt <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":("> All in all, still better than not going out. Steve

I, too, used to go whenever I could and was always ready to go detecting, but even 20 years ago I would get exhausted all because I didn't know when to quit!
God Bless!
Betty
