"Probe" Window Is Blank On Live Controls

Hello ,

On page 21 of the V3I owners manual, it explains how to use the Live Control. When I push the zoom button the screen expands,

but the "Probe" info area is dark . The area should be White with the word Probe at the top. The display should show Signal %

and Noise %. My detector does show Discrimination and All Metal, but the small window to the right will not come up . Do I need to send

my V3i in for repair ?
