Probe

Just purchased a Pulse induction Pistol probe .Now that I have the Nel coils I NEED one for those deep signals The pulse gives a much deeper signal than all the others on the market about 10CM on a dollar size coin Will let you know how I get one.

UPDATE on the Pulse Induction Probe. You will need to either switxch OFF the detector or move the detector well away when using the probe as it interferes between both machines

Brian, that was to be expected really,as Pulse based machines as in detectors or probes will intefere with other VLF detectors, when i take my Pulse machine out on a club dig sometimes it can cause major intererance with other detectors,so tend to either use it on my own permissions or well away from other folks.

Also another down side of using a Pulse based probe is they can drain batteries much quicker than a normal probe,so its best to carry a few spares just incase.

Yes they kill 9V batteries. 2 at a time. I had a pistol probe. It does go deep, but it's also big and looks like a gun.

Also, with all that power in the probe if your using it in an area with a fair amount of trash its deep will cause it detect surrounding metal objects, in that case it loses its ability to really pin-point. Another really bad thing about it is its grip, with all that forward slope and pushing plus gravity your hand wants to slide down the probe. The detector finds the target to within a couple of inches, I need a pinpointer to narrow that down.

I have had interference problems with it but the T2 is so quick to set up I just turn it off until I have found the item otherwise I have found small Roman coins with the Probe without problems.
