problem with explorer xs...

Every once in a while as I am detecting my explorer will start to make noises like if you hit the noise button to get a better channel. It goes through the 30 channel set and is fine the rest of the day. Is this normal to select a channel on it own because of ground problems or is my machine acting up? Thanks.

I think what the problem may be is that your noise cancel touchpad is getting a little worn out or just has a loose connection and from time to time it just goes into the noise cancel mode. Does it have a "hair trigger", to where if you just barely touch it you can invoke noise cancel? Either way, if it's the touchpad itself or another a circuitry problem, I don't believe "Automatic Noise Cancelling" is a feature of the XS.

Sorry it took so long to answer but I went on vacation. Anyway, as far as I know the noise cancel does not have a light touch to it. And I don't believe it has auto noise canceling either. It only happens once in awhile so I guess I will leave it alone until it gets to be annoying. Thanks for your input. Tom
