Hi everyone,
Due to other priorities, I haven't been doing much hunting, so I it felt good to spend an hour swinging the coil today.
I had noticed the city had trenched in some new sprinkler lines at this little 1/4 city block park that I had hunted in the past. Even though I had covered the whole park (grid pattern) with my other machines (DFX & E-Trac) and found a dozen or so pieces of silver here, I know no one gets everything, so I decided to quickly cover the new sprinkler line trenches that were recently cut in. I think it paid off pretty well--a 1944-S Merc, 1899 Barber dime, and a large stainless steel ring (probably a toe or thumb ring). All were easy pickings because the trencher had brought these keepers up close to the surface.
Thanks for looking. Good luck on your next hunt!
