PROTECT COIL

SILVERSTAR

New member
I just recently purchased a coil cover for my 8" coil for my CZ 20; well it broke when I took it off the first time. TOLD the COMPANY I bought it from and they said I just not use the cover since it is so hard to get on and off. My opinion is they shouldn't have sold it to me in the first place. Well, lesson learned.
So my dilemma, how do I protect my coil. I use this machine mostly in the ocean.
Is there some kind of protective coating you can spray or paint on the coil and it protects the coil but does not interfere with its performance?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSES.

You can coat the bottom of the coil with Loc-tite Marine Epoxy...available at Home Depot or Lowes. I have a picture of a CZ-70 coil done up with it at home which I can post later. It works well...many here have done it.

Here's the stuff...
