Prototype Quattro???

Hey guys! Look what I found on the big auction site today, it appears to be an early/prototype Quattro.

Looks legit but maybe Andy can confirm?

This was one of my units that was used during the Quattro development project - put in an Explorer housing so as to avoid the questions that would invariably follow. The serial number on this one is starts with MI5 which was the code assigned to the project as it unfolded. It was the final software burn before it went final so it is a fully functioning Quattro which with the addition of the Pro coil would be on-par with the Safari.

The person that got it from me asked me to sign it which is what you see on the arm cuff . . . . other than that it should be fully functional (as it was when it left me house) . . . . I have Serial Number 003 from the first run of Quattro's which is why I let this one go. As those that have come by the shop can attest to, most of my personal units including test units that the manufacturers allowed me to keep are on display.

Thanks Andy for confirming this unit's authenticity! I'm very tempted to buy it. Very cool!

Well, I couldn't resist so I bought it and it was delivered today. The serial number on it is MI5-03 and it seems to be functioning the way it should. I'll have to put my Pro coil on it and take it out once the weather breaks. Thanks again Andy for the confirmation and please keep us updated regarding the reprint of the Quattro and Safari Handbook.

Yes i to would like the Quattro Handbook. I just bought a quattro.
