Pulltab trivia....did you know this?

Goldstrike

Well-known member
I honestly did not know this until I came across this pic that the hole in a pulltab was for this purpose!...so now you know!!!:pulltab: BUT knowing this doesn't change the fact that they still are irritating as heck to dig but you gotta dig them to get the gold!!!

Think of how much more gold would be found if it wasn't for the pulltab... Bet many of us could have filled the back of a pickup truck with all the pulltabs we passed over, but didn't dig. Then again when you figure how much a pickup load of pulltabs would be worth, maybe we should have dug them. I'm already saving all my "copper" pennies (worth 2.3 cents), maybe its time to start digging and saving all the pulltabs and find a little gold along the way!

Somehow I doubt that is the reason for the hole. Makes more sense that it is a cost saving measure to use less AL.
