What kind of depth is anyone getting from there quattro, and what kind of setting .Tryed several settings today on a penny and a quarter.penny at 6 inch quarter at 8inch. setting of coin to all metal and sens at 15 to auto.never saw it at any time. so got my XLT , tryed 4 programs and nothing.Went to my Fisher Cz5 and Cz7 they both got the penny ,not the quarter.Could having the coins buried buried with in 4 feet of a house trailor alter the findings and or being freshly buried, effect them that much? would just like to know if the quattro is going to b better than this. Thanks HH Yazoo

maybe i was thinking....that lucky son of a sabitch finds all of the good coins.

Hello Yazoo,
The Quattro get's excellent depth, I can't see any difference between my Explorer and Quattro. Did a test last month with several detectors on freshly buried wheat pennies and the Quattro did extremely well. The Quattro will respond to 9 and 10" pennies.
You'll find you can run the Quattro sens higher than 15 in most cases, Try 18 as this setting for our area does well. It may be some sort of interference as to why your Quattro is not responding to those buried coins, Increase the sens to 18 see if that makes a difference.
I prefer the all metal mode, Just one draw back to using all metal is the visual ID bounces around more than the other 3 modes on weaker signals. Still, The ferrous audio sound is my favorite to use. Would rather hear everything
Good luck and keep us posted, Paul (Ca)
