Quattro falsing????

I've noticed my Quattro falses the further out I extend the lower shaft..Since my son-in-law is 6' 2" tall, shortening the shaft is not an option..Any thing else we should look at? We cleaned it out very well, and the conections are tight..

Hey hey, cant help but think its a break in the cable. I would connect the cable without the shaft and move the cable around and see if you can isolate a spot that makes it false. Does it do the same thing if you have another coil on it. Try another if you can, and see if that helps.
Hope you get it figured out though. HH

HOWLOW

I would agree with howlow666. To me it the length of the shaft extension shouldn't have anything to do with the falsing, although I've been wrong before in "life", but to me it wouldn't make that much sense, unless you have some kind of short that might be "agrivated" by extending the shaft, and putting more stress on the connections at the coil or near the housing. Try some other coils, and see what happens or "honestly" call Minelab, and ask the tech guys about it. Marc
