Quattro finds from past couple days.

These finds were from about 4 hours work. Total of $3.97 in change.

Notable finds. The Skull charm was found at 2", the lock at 4", the ring at 5", and the 55' wheatie at 6". I haven't ran into anything too old yet with Quattro, but when there is something good under the coil, it sure screams. Still looking for my first silver. It is very easy to pin-point with as well. Ive marked the sweet spot on both the front and back of my coil so I know exactly where the target is when I do the "wiggle".

I was out quite a few times before I started digging silver. I was frustrated at first because I dug over a 100 shallow clad coins and had only a few wheats and no silver. Now it seems the older, deeper coins are coming. Hang in there and the next thing you know you'll be digging silver.

Could you explain 'the wiggle' to me?
Do you wiggle in pinpoint mode?
or leave the detector 'as is' and do the wiggle?

The wiggle is going back and forth over a target, just the target area back and forth trying to get the signal to lock on to the correct ID (the highest). This may only be less than a inch depending on the depth, so by doing this it looks more like you are wiggling the coil. This is used more on the Sovereign than any other Minelab, but will help ID your target. With the Quattro and the slower recovery speed I find that it is not as important as it will lock on. Now after getting what sounds like a good signal you need to lift the coil away from the target so the threshold can reset and then go back to the target and see if the tone is the same.Now you will get your best ID.
