i think my quattro is going to ebay .not that any thing is wrong with it .its i bought a used exp xs and like it better i think ..any one want one? used 3 hrs or less warrenty included thanks don

As far as the warranty goes, you might want to check with Minelab. There new policy is that when a dealer sells the machine, the serial number gets recorded and he should fill in the warranty card and send it in. If you have the warranty card and it's not filled out by a Minelab dealer, you may find that there is no warranty with it . . . . worth a phone call.

do you think that mght be a problem andy ?i just want to sell it and buy a exp ii

Warranty is valid only to the original owner. If you have any concerns or questions, call Minelab to verify. Email me if you need their number or who to ask for. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Not saying it's a problem, just wanted to let you and others know that Minelab (and other manufacturers) are clamping down on people buying and then reselling detectors with blank warranty cards . . . . right, wrong, indifferent, just make sure that if the warranty when buying a detector is essential that the warranty does in fact come with it.

Some companies require a proof of purchase from the owner, so take that into consideration, never sent one in to Minelab so I don't have a prayer but it may or may not be a problem in the future...Wrong , right, indifferent as Andy relates is certainly valid. I would think ethics and situation at hand may come into play which the Company may take into consideration..perhaps a gift, perhaps not to your liking after buying it etc. Heck I would think someone should get the warranty under these situations and am sure many situations such as this exist.
