There is no definitive answer to your question. Many factors can play into a depth scenario. Basically, I would tell you in normal conditions, you should get 10 inches on a quarter. However, user skill and experience can increase how deep you can detect coins. Civil War bullets are nonferrous and are being detecting at 10+ inches. Silver is more conductive than the bullets, but depth depends on too many factors to give a firm answer. This is true of most any detector. I'm sure we'll begin to hear about depth soon.
