Question about coil battery life

I read somewhere that there are earlier versions of the deus coil where the battery only lasts about 8 hours on a full charge and then they started making the ones you see now that last about 15 hours depending on how you set it up. Is this a true thing? Because my coil battery does indeed only last about 8 hours an now I'm curious
 
TX makes a big difference in battery life. 8 Hours is a bit short even at a TX of 3. I can get 10 hours no problem with a full charge when detecting with a TX of 3. Your battery will loose capacity as it gets older.
