Question about sensitivity dial .

I have a Silver Micro Max. When I tested it with different coins and tabs, as well when I took it out in the field, I could not figure out what the sensitivity knob really did for me. In other words whether I turned it down or to the middle or to the full position I could not tell the difference. So what am I looking for? It would stand to reason that the more I turn it up the more I could detect. Even turned down it would go off.

The sensitivity knob is to increase sensitivity to small items and to increase depth. In an ideal environment you would want to detect with the sens. knob maxed out, however, if you max the sens. and the detector starts to chatter on it's own, ie, no target, then back it down just until the chattering stops and then go hunting. Have fun.
