Question about the gti1500 modes

Wondering if anyone knows for sure about what happens when different factory preset programs are selected on the 1500.

What I am asking is this, when for example I choose Relic mode over Coin mode are there 'other' behind the scenes parameters being changed aside from the obvious disc notches which we can see? Is Relic mode perhaps FASTER to respond than the coin mode?? IS it BETTER in areas full of iron?

When choosing ALL METAL, does this do MORE than simply accept ALL notches available? OR might there be something else going on? I am sure we all have hunches, yet someone must know for sure, Anyone????

I have no motive except to perhaps improve my programs BUT if its only a matter of accept/reject notches, I guess it wont help us any to select a preset program and then notch it to our liking.

Thanks
Tony

I dunno:shrug:You might want to call Garrett and ask. They've always been very helpful whenever I had questions in the past. I remember my old GTA 1000 had a beach mode that included a salt elimination which wasn't mentioned in the manual (as opposed to CX III and GTI 1500/2500 which have salt elimination as an option in either mode). Good luck. Happy Hunting!:)
