i"v got a lesche digger & i use it all the time great tool but in the last week the plastic grip has been turning wile i"m digging witch makes it hard to control the direction when i"m cutting the plug.
would applying heat/flame to the grip fix it & have you had the same problem ???
thanks

I got no problems with mine iv'e used for years, but take the grip off, clean everthing good, squirt a TUBE of superglue on the shaft, put er together and your'e done till it wears out, done this to detector grips too, if you decide to remove soak in very warm water for a few hours, OK ???:garrett:

Warm the grip in boiling water, do not use flame (you will melt the grip), it should slide right off. Rough up the inside of the grip and the grip shaft, then clean both with alcohol. Then use Gorilla glue or J B Weld (two part epoxy), apply to grip and shaft. Then reassemble. This should keep it from ever coming loose again.

thanks all i"ll get some superglue & glue it up i was just worried it might make the grip brittle & start falling to bits.

Man I sure do like the Gorilla Glue - have used it for many applications around the home. A very thin coat of that stuff, let it set up, and go. I use it for holding the tips/heads on my arrows since I bow shoot. Takes the punishment just swell.
I hear their Gorilla Tape is some tough stuff.
