Question about tones..

John C.65

New member
I run multi-tone conductive. My question is will a memorial penny sound the same as an Indian head in this format? I have not found an Indian head yet and was curious to know if they sound the same.

Thank you all

don't know off the top of my head,,, but if you look in the sticky at the top of the etrac forum and take a look at what the two items come in at number wise,,,, then look at the book and see where the cut offs are for multitone you should be able to figure it out

For me, most of the time the answer is no. The indian comes in at 34-36 Conductive sound. Memorials are (Zinc- 36-3:geek: [most being 38 sound], and Coppers are 40-47 [most being 42 sound]. There is some overlapping. I just love to hear the 12-34 "bell" type ring of an indian head at 7 inches.

NebTrac

Neb Trac has it. Found an Indian outside my barber shop in an inch of dirt. Must have been moved there in the fill dirt. Have not found one since.
