Question - Arm Cuff / Stand Extension For The Deus ?

E-Trac-Ohio

I've only had my Deus for a few weeks now - dug approx. (75) coins and relics with it so far - what a great machine - I love it !

Here's my question ... when you put the machine down on the ground - the bend by the handle is actually lower than the stand on the bottom of the arm cuff.
Because of this - the machine tends to flip over on it's side a lot.

Have any of you put an extension on the bottom of the stand to help make the machine sit up and not flop over ?

Good Hunting !

Yep....had the same problem. Bought a rifle sling swivel, drilled a tiny hole in the base of the XP shaft, secured the swivel with the accompanying flat bolt inside the shaft and mounted a Harris Bipod; see photo of swivel and bolt on DeWalt box. Weighs about a pound, but counterbalances the weight of the coils beautifully. Height adjusts from 6 to 9 inches, but models that adjust up to 18+ inches are also available; see eTrack photo below. I use my XP Deus frequently at the beach, on hard ground, old gravel trails, creeks and hill sides, never falls over....never gets wet. Experimented with this same setup on my eTrac several years ago and again on the CTX I presently own. Bottom line.....this is a winning solution and VERY easy to do! :detecting:

Here's one I made for mine..
