Question for some excal guru's

This really has me stumped....
customer delivered an excal that would not work. battery tested at 12.9 plugged and unplugged from detector.
ok, wait don't draw any conclusion that the cable is bad, or the detector is dead.
I plugged in my Sunray battery that I use and the detector works. voltage on my battery is 12.1 plugged in and unplgged.
Test was tried several times with same result.
What do you think problem is?

Monday will see what Minelab has to say.

So you used a clamp meter on the battery cable once the battery was all hooked up and the Pod was receiving 12.9 thur the cable?

Just a Guess but the Human factor, customer rebuilt new pack....polarity backwards? If the polarity is correct it is just not making a good connection and there is no way to tell without a {cable} line test with a clamp meter with everything hooked up..............all just shots in the dark. Thanks for the post, let us know on this one...Joe

did he add a thermistor to pack like is in stock pack??use a multimeter and check if voltage is comming out of pack if voltage is comming out of pack then check plug connections all the way up to main pc board..:minelab::detecting:

Joe did we ever find out the cure for this Xcal? Thanks.Obn/joe
