Have had my Bulleye for a couble years, was working great up till yesterday, justquit working thought it might be the batt. so replaced them but still dont work.Anyone have any ideas? Should i start looking for another pinpointer?

It could be the switch, but I would give White's service a call before pitching it. They have been known to exchange pinpointers well beyond the warranty period. No guarantee, but worth the try.

Ya, I realy like the pinponiter its done me real good I have a MXT,and with the two there is not a hole lot that gets away..I will see about talking to Whites mabe they got some ideas. Thanks

Late last summer I experienced the same thing, just stoped working.

Sent it to Whites and they sent me a new unit at no cost.

Had mine about a year. Like you said, it just quit. Called Whites. I had kept the origional box it came in and returned it. No questions asked. They sent me a new one and have been using it since. Whites is the best. (IMHO) HH floridason

If it's any help,i still have the 1st model pinpointer they came out with and still works. I've replaced the switch numerous times the battery holder the buzzer and it keeps going on 8yrs+. my hunting partner has had 2 new ones and within 6months they were toast, all new micro non replaceable crap switches, but whites replaced them both about 4 months ago. You guessed it,,,,,they are done again. But on Sunday I let him try one I purchased at harbor freight for $14.95 has the old school whites pinpointer square box but longer probe and a sens control which i never had to deal with on my old one but he liked it better then his bulleye 2's so he picked him one up today......for $14.95 man you can't bet it,it works just as well, check them out....

and when it comes to anything to do with detecting he knows what he is talking about. He has been a good teacher & partner.

It was a known problem that they had bad switches. That's why there has never been a question about replacement by Whites. I replaced my switch with a non Whites switch and it has never stopped working. You can send them back to Whites again or send them to me I could always use a spare pin pointer. Good luck guys . Rob

I went through three of them they replaced all of them. the last two we put in zip lock bags. And have not had a problem They are going on two years old and used a lot knock on wood. ROADKING

I just sent my second bullseye 2 back to Whites. Same problem, the switch just quit working, and they replaced it free of charge. I am glad that they are sending me a new pinpointer, but decided it was too inconvenient to continue doing this. I did a little research and found the Detectorpro pistol probe. There are videos on youtube comparing this pinpointer with the garrets and the bullseye 2. Pistol probe definitely has an edge on the distance that it can detect an object. It is a little big, but if I ever need to buy one again it will probably be this. Just my 2 cents.
