Question on F-70

New too the F 70 Haven't used near old foundations yet but have used other brands and they didn't work near the foundations at all will the Fisher F 70 get all noisey too?

If there is re rod in the concrete or stone for added strength you will get bombarded with iron signals. Nails will surely be present Try lower sensitivity or a small coil or dig an learn the unwanted signal and just ignore them--------IB

I had that trouble when beach detecting near the bath/food house. Face the wall and swing slow and step side ways along the wall. If a target is there the F70 will let you know, the sound will change. Again I only use the 6.5" coil on the F70. Hope this helps.... Z

As zeekeys says work parallel to the foundation facing it. Start a couple feet away working slowly toward the foundation. Keep your coil as close to the ground as possible., The goal is to hit the target with the front of the coil before you hit the rebar that is on the concrete.

A pointed type dd coil will help and keep sensitive low.

Thank you all for the great tips.
