Question on Heavy Trash areas............

I have been waiting delivery of my new T2 and reading everything I can find. I have a couple of farm fields in mind I want to hunt simply because of the heavy trash and I know there are good old coins mixed in with all of the trash. I want to be ready to hit these spots and thought someone might offer a bit of insight to this type of area. I plan on probably running in the 2 tone mode and starting w/disc on 10. I understand this machine is very fast to recover, but also read it needs to be swept briskly. In a heavy trash area do I still want to sweep fast or possibly a bit slower due to all of the low trash hits. :shrug:
Anyone with experience hunting old coins in heavy trash areas, Please comment.

I would go slower in the heavy trash. I find the T2 can be swung at any speed and still perform. But I think in your situation you will have a lot info coming through your headphones. So I would slow down to a normal pace and listen for that sweet 2+ TONE. Be sure you get a good ground balance.

I am new to the T2 also but not to detecting. I have been starting to use 2 tone with disc on 10. Lots of info streaming through your headphones. I slow down when I get a high tone and go over the target and look at the numbers. Then I investagate the hit.

I to have been detecting long time but still awaiting my T2. You told me just what I suspected on the with all of the info streaming through the headphones. I was just wondering if you still can get the high tone with all of the low tones while sweeping fast.

I do get a high tone and I will dig it and it can still be anything sometimes it is a coin. Here is what I have dug since I got the T2
 
Looks like it gets the coins that's what I'm after. Did the horse shoe and the sickle tooth give you High Tone???
Hopefully mine will be here today so I can get out and give it a whirl.
