Question on the 3D

Hi Johnny,
I love mine. This will be my third season with mine, if the snow ever melts so I can get started. I liked it so well that I decided to try an F70 and I liked it so well that I got a new F75 LTD. I still like using the CZ3d. My war nickle count jumped like crazy when I bought the CZ. It was like I went from having found one with my old detector to finding like 8 or 9 with the CZ. I like using both of the detectors, but daylight hunts in old ground I love the CZ3d. Mine doesn't air test as well as they say it should but I still find lots of cool stuff, pretty deep.

Hi Harold,
I have never really followed through and done the complete test. The air test, with me thinking I have it set properly, only gets about 9.5. I guess I have been curious about the earlier ones also. I know that I have found a lot of cool stuff and a lot of deep stuff. I really liked hunting with the CZ3d and comparing signals with my F70. I hunted a yard last fall on two different days. The first day the EMI knocked out my F75 and I decided to hunt with the CZ. I found a lot of deep, 9 to 10 inch pennies and a large token at least 12 inches deep. The next day I went back with the F75 turned down and did the same thing. I like using one with the big coil and one with the small coil and checking signals and going back over hot spots.

I have a newer one, and like Don, don't get great depth on the air test... When checking an 8" silver dime in my test bed, I still get a solid signal with the stock coil 3" off the ground... With the 5" coil, I get a solid signal on this same dime, sens at 7 and the coil about 1" off the ground... I've made many nice deep finds with this machine and couldn't imagine being without it...
