Question on the ATX for relic hunting

Question to those that use the ATX for relic hunting in the red dirt in areas such as Culpepper, Atlanta and areas in Alabama especially for those that have tried the Minelab GPX units or the Infinium.

Do you see one outperforming another under these conditions and for these targets? How have any of these units worked for you in the highly mineralized ground conditions in these areas?

As far as the ATX, which coil did you find to work best in these areas?

Used the ATX at Culpepper two years ago . Modest finds, but it was my first DIV. Never used GPX or Infinium. At least 75 percent of the participants were using the GPX of different models. Very small pieces of iron fool such as fence wire fool the ATX and the GPX. Good targets pinpointed in the center, fence wire was way off. Good videos on u-tube with Tony Hostetler on the GPX. Met a famous Garrett u-tuber there he said my settings were good. He choose to dig only low tones, because iron sounds like a high tone.Iron button eliminates some iron, but not foolproof. Digging only low tones you would miss coins and big brass. No simple solution in that hot soil.Also difficult to get orange stain off stain ATX. Several members of our detecting club that just returned from last DIV said they return with a GPX,but they haven't ever used the ATX.

ATX has too many coil wire issues that Garrett refuses to fix.
