question on the t2

I have noticed while hunting old sites with low disc, 3 tone I may get a single medium or high quick blip tone while swinging sometimes among all the iron grunts and it won't repeat right away/or not at all again with mutiple passes... do any of you guys dig these sounds if so is it trash??? thanks joe

Dig those signals & see what it is. I'm sure we all dig questionable signals at times.

Joe:

Most of the time it's wrap around deep iron that hits high.. but it could be a coin on edge, or partially covered.

I want to stress..........in most instances it is Iron, or metal object... Swing your coil shoulder to shoulder kinda fast a couple of times.. Or switch to 2 tone and listen for iron audio..

I agree with Elton. Also, you can increase the disc to see if the high 'blip' gets eliminated. Doesn't always eliminate a iron signal but certainly cuts down on wasted digging. When I hunted iron laden areas with the T2, I set the menu up so I could go into disc mode first instead of having to do multiple menu adjustments to get to disc mode.
