Question to fix a Metrotech 220 Detector

My Metrotech 220 Detector has a brown wire that has become detached in the bullet shaped control/battery box, can anyone tell me where this wire should be connected or if anyone is replacing their battery in the same model of machine could you please have a look at where it connects to. Thanks.

I will get a picture of mine when I get home. I have the schematics and manual somewhere too, but would have to find them. Be aware the potentiometer needs cleaning sometimes too. Mine oxidizes and needs to be cleaned to get the volume working.

Don't pay attention to my nasty solder job. It was one of the wires I had to repair as well, to the left post of the potentiometer if looking at the back of it. Hope these photos help, let me know if you need a different angle. If I can find my schematic sheet I will take a picture of that as well and send it along. You inspired me to play with mine some more soon. My grandpa used to make some good finds with it and it is what got me started in detecting. Good memories.

Thank you Fish N Chips for going out of your way to help me out, I really appreciate you doing this for me, It is refreshing to know that there are kind people like you out there, the pictures you have taken are superb. I am forever in your debt.

Very Best Regards

Your welcome, glad to help.
